Incubation Interns

Job Overview:

  • Job Grade: Internship
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Division: STP
  • Location: Seda National Office
  • Reporting to: Manager: Incubation
  • Stipend: R6000
  • Closing Date: 20 June 2024

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Internship programme is to provide appropriate and relevant work experience which is in line with intern’s qualification in the provision of Incubation management and enterprise development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support in the establishment of technology business incubation and accelerators in accordance with Seda’s Incubation strategy.
  • Provide operational support to existing and new technology business.
  • Network and build effective linkages with relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications Required:

  • Matric and a three-year tertiary qualification (N6) in Operations Management/ Business Management/Entrepreneurship Management/ Project Management.
  • Bachelor Degree (NQF 7) in Operations Management/ Business Management/ Entrepreneurship Management/ Project Management would be added as an advantage.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Not Applicable – Work experience exposure programme.

    Quality & Standards and Technology Transfer

    Job Purpose:

    The purpose of the internship programme is to provide appropriate and relevant work experience which is in line with the intern’s qualification.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assess small enterprises for the benefit of TTF.
    • Develop business cases for the adjudication panel.
    • Administer the technology transfer fund nationally.
    • Establish and maintain an accurate database.
    • Verification of supplied technology received at the client’s premises.
    • Contribute to the review of TTF policy and processes.
    • Conduct impact analysis on the technology intervention on beneficiaries.
    • Conduct TTF awareness workshops.

    Qualifications Required:
