Location: Gauteng

Qualifications Required

 

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • TVET/FET qualification (in relevant discipline)
  • Knowledge of general hygiene good practices

  • A strong focus on service excellence and customer relations

Role Objective:

The purpose of this role is to provide professional, efficient, and effective operational/technical and/or shared services functions within the relevant business area. You will perform tasks and duties as defined by your specific role and gain experience through a learning program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver professional operational/technical/shared services functions to ensure excellent service delivery to the business.
  • Execute assigned tasks with the highest level of quality workmanship and timely completion.
  • Perform tasks in an effective, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Demonstrate good working behaviors and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Provide professional service to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain politeness, friendliness, and helpfulness in the workplace.
  • Strive for excellence in customer service delivery by consistently delivering superior performance.
  • Wear clean and presentable corporate/safety wear at all times.

Main Activities

  • Fulfill all tasks and activities according to role requirements.
  • Report maintenance and hygiene issues to management for resolution.
  • Comply with reasonable requests issued by management.
  • Adhere to company procedures including health and safety protocols.
  • Continuously learn and develop skills in line with job requirements
  • Assist with operational/execution support activities as required by the business area:
  1. Meet productivity standards set by management
  2. Complete administrative tasks accurately
  3. Perform operational duties under supervision
  4. Engage in activities that enhance task performance and improve customer experience

Truck Assistant

Location: Gauteng

Requisition ID: 1409

Qualifications Required:

    • Grade 12/Matric

    • Code 10 or higher valid driver’s lincence with PrDp will be an advantage

Attributes:

    • Self motivated and independent starter

    • High energy to work in a fast pace environment

    • Mobility; Able to travel to work

    • Able to work under pressure

    • Sense of urgency: complete today’s work today

Skills Required:

    • Communication skills

    • Excellent interpersonal skills – effective in handling and interacting with customers

    • Analytical and numerical skills

Experience:

    • Experience in handling and moving of dangerous goods

    • Experience in handling various types of glass products

    • Knowledge and understanding and reading of drawings and production orders

    • Necessary experience in glass handling and quality control

Job Purpose:

To assist the driver in the loading and offloading of glass and manoeuvering of the vehicle in the safest possible manner for delivery to customers, trucks to be loaded and off loaded onto a level surface or as close to it as possible, securing loads to be carried out according to loading and offloading procedure and double check during trips that glass is always properly tied and loaded in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Check for the most suitable place to load and off load the vehicle

    • Complete quality check sheet while loading

    • Load and offload in a safe manner

    • Assist the driver and report any damage to any property

    • Before leaving a Customer, ensure the load is restrained again before driving off

    • Assist the driver when reversing or moving the truck in confined spaces or in unseen areas

    • Assist where possible with control of paperwork

    • Follow all work instructions, standard operating procedures and business rules

    • Adhere to environmental, safety and housekeeping standards

    • Any other tasks requested by the factory supervisor to be carried out to the best of your ability

    • Willing to work overtime and weekends when required
